The meeting schedule is for the week of Jan. 2.
CORTLANDT, NY — The town of Cortlandt will hold a swearing-in ceremony for Town Councilman Robert E. Mayes.
Mayes will be sworn in by U.S. Rep. Mondaire Jones, according to town officials.
The ceremony will be at noon, Monday, Jan. 2 at Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady St. in Cortlandt Manor.

In Peekskill, the Committee of the Whole will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.

The agenda includes a report from the Conservation Advisory Council, 2023-2025 Invest-in-Kids: Project Elevate Grant Award, rescheduling the public hearing to amend the city charter and the 2023 updated consolidated fee schedule.

The village of Buchanan will hold a Board of Trustees regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.
The agenda, which can be found here, includes a resolution to adopt a local law overriding the property tax cap, motions to call for public hearings on lot coverage and accessory apartments, naming polling places and hours for the next village election and reports from officers and departments.
