No Finding in Washington Complaint Against Rigger

Washington complained that the Dems stated they were endorsed by the Independence party, but they will not be on the Independence line.

The Westchester County Fair Campaign Practices Committee had no finding in a complaint from Republican candidate for Peekskill Mayor against Darren Rigger, candidate for Peekskill Common Council and the Peekskill Democratic City Committee. The Committee met on Thursday, Nov. 3 and Washington was represented by Vincent Vesce; Rigger represented himself, accompanied by attorney Reginald Johnson.

Washington complained that in campaign literature the Democratic Party had claine its candidates were endorsed by the Independence Party, when their names were not on the ballot under the Independence Party line.

 There was no finding. The Committee stated:

“The two sides agreed that there would be no candidates on the Independence Party line on the ballot.  However the Committee also noted that the Chairman of the Westchester County Independence Party had written to confirm that the Democratic candidates had the endorsement of the party.”
