NYSP Detail Yields 56 Tickets; Clothing Swap Wednesday; Government Meetings
Five things you need to know today, June 10.

 1. State Troopers Conduct Traffic Enforcement on Rte 9 and 6
On June 8, 2012, Troopers from the state police Cortlandt Barracks conducted traffic enforcement details on Route 9 and Route 6 in the Town of Cortlandt. During these details 56 tickets were issued to motorists for violations ranging from speeding to failure to wear a safety belt. There details will continue in an effort to make the roadways safe for the motoring public.
2. Guest Bartenders at to Benefit Fred’s Pantry

Phil Alexander and Jack Spencer will guest bartend at Nellie’s Café Friday from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tips and 10 percent of bar sales will be donated in their names to Fred’s Pantry.
3. Committee of the Whole Meeting

The Peekskill City Council will hold a work session and Common Council meeting at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m., respectively, tonight at City Hall. The Council will vote on a resolution to award Fourmen Construction the bid for the $2 million Peekskill Landing project. Read more about that .
4. Cortlandt Town Board
The board will have its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
