Obituary: Andrew Joseph Mayerik Of Buchanan
Mayrerik was the lead medical technologist at the blood bank at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers.

BUCHANAN, NY — Andrew Joseph Mayerik passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 26, 2023, in Buchanan, NY. Andrew was raised in Buchanan by his parents William Edward Mayerik and Pamela Ann (Weisel) Mayerik, who survive him. He is also survived by his brother, Gregory Thomas Mayerik. Andrew attended the Hendrick Hudson school district, graduating from Hendrick Hudson High School in 2007. After attending the University of Rhode Island, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, NY, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science in 2017. At the time of his passing, he was employed as the Lead Medical Technologist — Blood Bank at St. John’s Riverside Hospital, Yonkers, NY.
All family, friends and relatives are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on March 25, 2023, at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 1969 Crompond Rd., Cortlandt, NY. 10567 to be followed immediately by a repast at the Montrose Fire Department, 2143 Albany Post Rd., Montrose, NY 10548.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers and to honor Andrew’s continuing commitment to his brother’s wellbeing, contributions be made to the Supplemental Needs Trust f/b/o Gregory Thomas Mayerik, P.O. Box 11, 252 Tate Avenue, Buchanan, NY 10511.
