Obituary: Faith Lax Of Peekskill Dies At 94
Lax was a long-time resident of Peekskill and taught in the school district for more than 20 years.
PEEKSKILL, NY — Faith Lax, a Peekskill resident for 45 years and a Peekskill teacher for more than 20 years, died Nov. 29 at the age of 94.
Lax was born in New Britain, Connecticut, and graduated from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry after raising her children, according to her obituary.
She taught special education in the Peekskill school district for more than 20 years and also served as an assistant tennis coach for the high school’s girls tennis team.

Lax is survived by two children, five grandchildren, two brothers and several nieces and nephews.
