Outgoing Peekskill Board of Ed Member to be Honored Tonight

Peekskill City Schools officials will honor Tuesday Paige McDonald, a lifelong resident of the city, this evening for her service on the board of education. 

Here's the information the district released:

"The Peekskill City School District would like to formally invite members of the Peekskill community to join us on June 25, at Peekskill Middle School as we celebrate Tuesday Paige McDonald’s 15 years of dedicated service to our Board of Education. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m., with a program to follow at 7:00 p.m.

McDonald is a lifelong resident of the City of Peekskill and a proud graduate of Peekskill High School’s Class of 1983. She was first elected to the Peekskill Board of Education in May of 1998 [and] has been re-elected for four additional terms since then. She served as vice president from 1999 to 2001 and served as board president from 2001 to 2004.

In the most recent school board elections, McDonald did not seek reelection to the board because she has enrolled at Alliance Theological Seminary to pursue her Masters in Divinity. McDonald recently became a licensed minister and is currently serving as minister of music at the historic Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Peekskill."
