Peekskill High School Singing Group to Open For Manhattan Transfer
Peekskill's City Singers will be opening for the Manhattan Transfer on May 12 as part of Paramount Hudson Valley Arts programming.

From Peekskill HS: Peekskill High School’s the City Singers will open for the legendary Manhattan Transfer on May 12th as part of Paramount Hudson Valley Arts programming. Celebrating their 45th anniversary in 2017, The Manhattan Transfer continues to set the standard as one of the world’s greatest and most innovative vocal groups.
Winners of 10 Grammy Awards, with millions of records sold worldwide, the quartet is built upon the extraordinary legacy created by founder Tim Hauser who organized the four-part harmony group on October 1, 1972 in New York City. In 1981, The Manhattan Transfer became the first vocal group to win Grammy Awards in the pop and jazz categories.
The City Singers will open the concert with homage to Manhattan Transfer. Larry Del Casale is a concert guitarist and Latin Grammy nominee and is the Choral Director for the Peekskill City Singers, a group he has nourished and refined since 2012 within the district.

The City Singers will open for the Manhattan Transfer as part of collaboration between Paramount Hudson Valley and Paramount Hudson Valley Arts the resident non-profit. Paramount Hudson Valley Arts is organized exclusively to provide arts and education opportunities to communities in the Hudson Valley.
