Peekskill To Receive $750K To Improve Its Water Infrastructure
The historic investment is a key step towards bolstering our environmental resiliency, Gov. Kathy Hochul said.

PEEKSKILL, NY — More than $185 million in direct financial assistance for water infrastructure improvement projects across New York was approved Thursday, and the city of Peekskill is one of the recipients.
The Environmental Facilities Corporation Board of Directors approved the money, Governor Kathy Hochul said.
She said that the state is committed to providing reliable access to clean and safe water.

“This historic investment is a key step towards bolstering our environmental resiliency, public health and economic development in communities across the state,” Hochul said.
The city of Peekskill will receive a $750,000 Water Infrastructure Improvement Act grant for the planning, design and construction of sanitary sewer main improvements at Lower South Street, including installation of a new pump station and force main to reduce inflow and infiltration to Westchester County’s Peekskill Wastewater Treatment Plant.
