Police Investigating Fatal Peekskill Shooting
Authorities said they have "persons of interest" in custody.
PEEKSKILL, NY — Police have people in custody who, they said, were involved in a fatal shooting Sunday in Peekskill.
The City of Peekskill Police Department said officers were sent to the 600 block of John Street around 4:15 p.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired.
Police said they found a 35-year-old man who had been shot.

He was immediately given medical aid, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital by officers in a marked police car.
The victim was later transferred to Westchester Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
