Police: Two Women Arrested for Selling Heroin to Undercover Cops

Two local women were arrested for allegedly selling heroin to undercover police officers in the last week, Peekskill police report.
Marie Curry, a 39-year-old Cortlandt Manor resident was charged with third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, on June 13 on the 600 block of Main Street. Curry had sold heroin to an undercover police officer on several occasions, police said.

The case was investigated jointly between the City of Peekskill Police and the Westchester County Department of Public Safety Narcotics Units. Curry was held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court without bail.
Five days later, 55-year-old Peekskill resident Lena Buckner was arrested on the same felony drug charg. Buckner was charged following a joint investigation between the City of Peekskill Police and the New York State Police Narcotics Units during which she allegedly sold heroin to an undercover police officer. Buckner was taken into custody after being spotted on the 300 block of Washington St. around 7:35 p.m. on June 18 and held for arraignment in Peekskill City Court.
