2. Swim for Life

A Cortlandt Manor swimmer is asking you to donate to her “Swim for Life,” which supports the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Read more about her cause here.

 3.     "This is YOUR Paramount!", the Paramount’s Fall Fundraising Drive, kicked off last Friday.

Here is a message from the Paramount: Over the last month we told you how cuts in public funding for not-for-profit arts organizations and a decline in donations led to a serious financial shortfall. We set about raising $300,000 and asked for your help:YOU heard us! With your support we're closing the gap and now ask you to help us reach our goal by month's end.

Why support The Paramount? As a not-for-profit Art Center, our mission is to present community based Arts-in-Education programs and Visual Arts exhibitions as well as Rock, Pop, Jazz and Classical Music, Comedy shows and Movies. This dynamic range of programming is what distinguishes us from a for profit theater. Upcoming shows like "Junie B. Jones" will attract thousands of area students but require underwriting. Many of our cultural and educational programs do. This is why we need your help!

If you're like us and can't imagine life without The Paramount, then PLEASE donate now! Your tax deductible contribution is not only an investment in our community but in our region's cultural future.
