Rain Dates and Info, Vietnam Vet Photos, Energy Movement Center Opening

Five things you need to know for the weekend, Sept. 23-25.

1.    Cortlandt and Buchanan Activities
The is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the s Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The rain date for Family Day is Sept. 25.


2.    Vietnam Vets
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) needs the public's help for an ambitious and touching endeavor. A nationwide campaign is underway to collect a photo of each of the 58,272 men and women whose names are inscribed on The Wall in Washington, DC.  The collected photographs will become part of a virtual wall that will be accessible to the public, as well as be displayed in the Education Center at The Wall, the moving Vietnam Veterans Memorial. For more information click here.

3.    Odessa Premier
Odessa, a science-fiction web series filmed by ValDean productions in Peekskill earlier this year, will premier at the New York Television Festival at 7:30 p.m. You can order free tickets to the event here. 
              
4.    Energy Movement Center Grand Opening
The EMC, located at 929 South Street is holding a grand opening from 12 to 5 p.m. The opening will offer free demo classes. For more information click here.


5.    Peekskill Activities
The on Sept. 24 at Riverfront Green will be happening rain or shine (rain is good luck for the Irish).
The will take place Saturday and Sunday at Blue Mountain Reservation, rain or shine. Sunday's scheduled Battle of the Bands has been canceled due to the weather.
The at the Paramount Center for the Arts is on Sunday at 3 p.m.
