Route 6/202 Road Closure On Bear Mountain Wednesday
Route 6/202 between Route 9D and Route 9 will be closed Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Motorists are advised that the New York State Department of Transportation will be closing Route 6/202 (Bear Mountain Bridge Road) between Route 9D and Route 9 (Annsville Circle) on Wednesday, Nov. 2 for maintenance activities. All lanes in both directions will be closed between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
An alternate route has been established as Route 9 to Route 403, to Route 9D, then back to Bear Mountain Bridge.
Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes during this period. Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver’s license.
