Thunderstorm Watch Issued For Hudson Valley
Meteorologists said the main threat from the storms is damaging winds, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Get ready for another round of thunderstorms Saturday.
The National Weather Service has issued a thunderstorm watch for the region.
The watch is in effect until 11 p.m. Saturday for Columbia, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster and Westchester counties.

This is in addition to flash flood watches for northern mid-Hudson Valley and lower Hudson Valley.
There is also a heat advisory for southern Westchester until 8 p.m. Heat index values in the upper 90s are expected.

NOAA's NWS Storm Prediction Center said areas along and west of the Hudson River corridor are at a slight risk of dangerous storms. The main threat is damaging winds, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
