PELHAM, NY — Motorists are advised that the planned closure of the Hutchinson River Parkway is expected to begin at 11 p.m. Friday. As part of the ongoing bridge replacement projects in Westchester County, a portion of the Hutchinson River Parkway between Exit 6 (Interstate 95) and Exit 12 (East Lincoln Avenue) is expected to be closed beginning at 11 p.m. Friday, March 16, and last until 5 a.m. Monday, March 19, while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting, according to the state Department of Transportation. This is in the Village of Pelham and the City of Mount Vernon.
Signed detours will be in place for both northbound and southbound traffic. Northbound traffic on the Parkway will be detoured at the I-95 interchange. Southbound traffic will be diverted to the Cross County Parkway and the Bronx River Parkway for points south.
All on ramps to the Hutchinson River Parkway south of the construction site (at the East 3rd Street overpass) will be accessible for southbound traffic.
