Closures On The Hutchinson Parkway Saturday

Single lane closures are expected on the northbound and southbound Hutchinson River Parkway between Exit 8 (Sanford Boulevard) and Exit 12 (East Lincoln Avenue), on Saturday night. Crews will be performing construction activities.

The work will be done between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting.

Anticipate delays and seek alternate routes where possible.

Use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices.

This year’s work zone safety campaign, “Flaggers have families too,” is designed to remind motorists that flagging personnel are not attempting to disrupt traffic – they are simply doing their jobs and want to get home safely at the end of each work day.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
