An Impressive 112 Pelham Students Inducted Into National Honor Society

PELHAM, NY — With elite achievement comes an elite fellowship. In Pelham, the moment was celebrated with pomp and jubilation.

The PMHS Knight & Lamp Chapter of the National Honor Society welcomed 112 new members at its recent induction ceremony. Among the new inductees are 101 juniors and 11 seniors. The ceremony featured remarks by Mark Berkowitz, PMHS Principal, Dr. Cheryl Champ, Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Michael Owen-Michaane, President of the Board of Education and Kim Lundy, who serves as the NHS Co-Advisor along with Maria Abeshouse.

Students entered the auditorium to a processional performed by members of the PMHS Orchestra and the National Anthem was sung by Matthew Michailoff. Class of 2024 NHS President Isaac Lief then made introductory remarks and spoke about Scholarship before introducing Class of 2024 NHS Vice President Samantha Gregware, who spoke about Service. Class of 2025 NHS Vice President Cameron Wanuga then spoke about Leadership and Class of 2025 NHS President Grace Kiamie spoke about character before leading the inductees in the membership pledge.
