PMHS Jazz, Concert Bands Hold Winter Performance
The bands performed classic hits like 'Sleigh Ride' and 'You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch'.

From PMHS: The PMHS jazz and concert bands, led by Director Andrew Van Bochove, held their winter performances on Dec. 22. The jazz band played “Lullaby of Birdland” by George David Weiss and George Shearing, arranged by Rick Stitzel, “Take Five” by Paul Desmond, arranged by Rich DeRosa, “Take the ‘A’ Train” by Billy Strayhorn, arranged by Victor Lopez, “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” by Albert Hague and Dr. Suess, arranged by Mike Story and “Route 66” by Bobby Troup, arranged by Mark Taylor. The concert band opened with “Flight of the Thunderbird” by Richard L. Saucedo, then played “The Great Locomotive Chase” by Robert W. Smith, “Blue Ridge Impressions” by Brian Balmages and “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson.
