2 Killed In Fiery Single-Car Tesla Crash In Pelham Manor
The single-car collision with a utility pole near the Westchester and Bronx border has closed roads as firefighters work at the scene.
PELHAM MANOR, NY — A fiery crash involving a Tesla has closed Shore Road at Pelhamdale Road as emergency crews work.
Traffic was already unusually heavy in the area, in part due to an earlier fatal crash that closed the nearby southbound Hutchinson River Parkway.
Smoke from the fire, that is now under control, could be seen from several miles away. There were initial unconfirmed reports of at least one fatality. Officials later said two people were killed in the single-car crash that took place shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

According to the Village of Pelham Manor, first responders continued to be on the scene for the next several hours as investigations were underway.
