Westchester County Announces Closure on Bronx River Parkway

One lane will be closed weekdays beginning Monday, May 2 between Palmer Rd. and Desmond Ave. in Yonkers.

Motorists are advised that one lane of the southbound Bronx River Parkway will be closed weekdays starting on
Monday, May 2 and continuing until Monday, May 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. between Palmer Rd. and Desmond
Ave. in Yonkers.

This closure is necessary for bridge joint replacement work being performed by the New York State Dept. of Transportation.

One southbound lane of the parkway will be closed at a time. Initially, the left lane will be closed for approximately two weeks, followed by the right lane closure for approximately two weeks.

Numerous variable message signs will be used to alert motorists of the upcoming lane closure.
