2 Islanders Tickets Will Be Handed Out At Plainview Blood Drive

It takes place on Dec. 28 at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library.

PLAINVIEW, NY — To entice people to donate blood, each person who rolls up their sleeves will receive two tickets to an Islanders game this season.

Nassau County Legislature Deputy MinorityLeader Arnold Drucker (D-Plainview) is hosting the blood drive on Saturday, Dec. 28 at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library.

"Long Island’s blood emergency is unrelenting, and we must remain ever diligent in our efforts to combat this crisis and ensure that every person can access this life-saving form of medical care in their moment of need," Drucker said.

Eligible donors must have an ID with signature or photo, weigh at least 110 pounds, had no tattoos in the past year and be 16-75 years of age (16-year-old donors require parental consent.)

Appointments (10 a.m.-4 p.m.) are preferred. You can schedule online.
