Chinese Food Deliveryman Robbed, Beaten in New Cassel
The 61-year-old man was robbed by two men with a bat Thursday night, cops said.

A Chinese food deliveryman is recovering after he was beaten and robbed Thursday night in New Cassel, according to Nassau County Police.
At 10:50 p.m., the 61-year-old victim was making a delivery at 821 Railroad Avenue when he was confronted by a man with a bat, police said. Just then, a second man snuck up behind the victim and grabbed him around the neck, cops said.
The pair punched and kicked the deliveryman before taking cash from his pocket, police said. The two fled on foot toward Grand Street, cops said.

The victim was brought to a nearby hospital after suffering contusions to his face, police said.
The first man was described as a 17- to 18-year-old, 5-foot-8, short dread locks, and was wearing dark clothing with a baseball hat. No description was available for the second man.
