Golden Eagles Soar On Homecoming Night: Bethpage Claims A 42–0 Victory Over Mineola

BETHPAGE, NY — Bethpage High School's Golden Eagles soared to victory at their school-spirited homecoming game on Saturday with a score of 42 to 0 against Mineola.

The Golden Eagles scored a touchdown in the opening minutes and shut out their opponents from receiving any points. The home crowd brought the excitement with a plentiful of cheers, and it was the first sunny homecoming game in a few years, the district said.

The annual homecoming parade started the celebration from JFK Middle School to Bethpage High School, with the marching band, cheer squad, and kickline team all participating. The Bethpage Fire Department led the procession, with assistance from the local POP unit.

There were themed cars and costumes from the high school classes, and local peewee football and cheer teams marched along with district administrators in the parade.

Homecoming king and queen Ryan Betwinek and Jessica Maietta rode in the parade on a convertible Ford Bronco, driven by Superintendent DavidSchneider.
