Hundreds Protest Gun Violence In Plainview-Old Bethpage HS Walkout
Hundreds of students walked out of class on Monday to protest gun violence, and remember the 21 victims of the Uvalde shooting.

PLAINVIEW, NY — Hundreds of students, along with staff members, walked out of class today at Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK High School in protest of gun violence across the country, and to honor the 21 people who were killed in Uvalde, Texas.
The students' walkout, which was overseen by the school, lasted 21 minutes, in honor of the 21 people who were killed by a gunman at Robb Elementary School on May 24.
The school placed 21 chairs outside the building, representing the 19 children and two adults who were killed in the shooting.
