Man Stabbed In Fight In Nassau Parking Lot: Police

Police say a Queens man was responsible for the attack, which sent one person to the hospital.

PLAINVIEW, NY — A Queens man was arrested Monday night after police say he stabbed a man in a Plainview parking lot.

According to police, officers responded to a 911 call for a man stabbed in the parking lot of a building on Express Street at 7 p.m. When they arrived, they found a 42-year-old man with a severe cut to his abdomen. Police say he was in a fight with another man.

Officers investigated and police say they determined that Ruqiang Xu, 53, was responsible for the stabbing. Police say he was still at the scene, and he was arrested without incident.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of his wound.

Xu is charged with first-degree assault. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today in First District Court in Hempstead.
