Nassau Police Rescue Baby Geese From Storm Drain

Officers successfully rescued the goslings and reunited them with their mother. Watch a video of the rescue here.

PLAINVIEW, NY — Nassau County police officers rescued two baby geese that got stuck in a storm drain in Plainview Wednesday morning.

Residents on Sagamore Drive called police after they heard two baby geese stuck in a storm drain at 8:15 a.m. Officers Francesco Vescio, Andrew Viscusi, Michael Nolan and James Sarnataro responded to the call. They took the grate off the storm drain and managed to get the goslings out.

The babies were unharmed, and were released into a nearby pond where their mother was.
