New Playgrounds Open For Children In Plainview

PLAINVIEW, NY — The Town of Oyster Bay has unveiled new playgrounds in Plainview.

In replacing the outdated sets, children will now enjoy the equipment at Plainview-Old Bethpage Community Park and Roundtree Drive Park.

The upgrades are funded through a $250,000 grant partnership between the town and the state.

"Continuing improvements to our parks and recreational facilities have been a top priority for my administration," Supervisor Joseph Saladino said. "We are committed to ensuring our parks have safe and enjoyable recreational opportunities for children to play and make friendships that last a lifetime."

The outdated playgrounds at the two parks were replaced with new, state-of-the-art playgrounds that include swings.
