Police Investigate Fatal Hit-And-Run in Hicksville
The incident occurred on Jan. 28, cops say.

An elderly man struck by a car in Hicksville on Jan. 28 at 5:40 a.m. has died, authorities said.
Augustine Sebaptiste, 75, of Westbury died on Monday, Feb. 2, according to Nassau Police.
Detectives believe Sebaptiste was walking east in front of 455 W. John Street when he was struck by an unknown vehicle travelling in the same direction. Sebaptiste sustained severe head trauma and was transported to the Nassau University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as blue. The driver fled the scene toward the Hicksville train station, police said.
Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
