School District Grateful for Budget Support
Board issues thank you letter to the district's voters.

The Plainview-Old Bethpage Board of Education issued a thank you to the community for last week's successful budget vote.
In a statement, the board praised district voters for overwhelmingly passing the school budget proposal by a margin of nearly 69 percent.
"Your strong budget approval and continued tradition of support will enable us to continue the quality programs, services, and activities we offer and provide students with an education that will serve them now and in the future," the board's statement said.
"We are most grateful for your confidence in the Plainview-Old Bethpage School District and for supporting the future of all of our children."
The letter was signed by Plainview-Old Bethpage Board of Education members
Amy Pierno, president, Ginger Lieberman, vice president, and Trustees Debbie Bernstein, Gary Bettan, Angel Cepeda, Evy Rothman, and Emily Schulman.
Bettan and Schulman were re-elected to three-year-terms on the board in the same election. Seth Greenberg, a newcomer, also earned a seat on the board. Longtime Trustee Angel Cepeda did not run for another term.
