Student Interrogated For 'Disturbing' Social Media Post: POBJFK
The post featured guns and racist remarks, the district said.

A high school student at Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School was interrogated by police for a "disturbing" social media post, the Plainview-Old Bethpage School District said in a letter to parents on Friday.
The post, which featured guns and racist remarks, was brought to the attention of staff at the school, the district said.
Police were notified and responded to a possible school threat at around 10 a.m. on Friday.

"Following the protocols and procedures that our school district has in place, district officials took immediate action and notified law enforcement," Dr. Lorna Lewis, superintendent of schools, said in the letter. "The police arrived on the scene immediately. They interrogated the student in question and administration took appropriate action in accordance to our code of conduct."
Patch reached out to Nassau Police who said no arrest was made."Nothing became of it," a NCPD spokesperson said.
