Briarcliff HS Students Join Dance Arts Honor Society
The 12 dancers received special recognition during the school's annual ceremony.
BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY - Twelve Briarcliff High School juniors and seniors were officially inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts in October.
Each new member received a certificate of membership, a special logo pin placed on them by society officers and the baby blue and white honor cords that they will proudly wear during their graduation ceremonies.

The 12 inductees were: Emma Calame-Pennington, Madeline Elkes, Nina Fraietta, Olivia Fullerton, Sarah Kaul, Komal Keerthy, Rebecca Leon, Kelly Marchese, Calista Sheehan, Emily Silvershein, Oyinkansola Tukuru and Jenna Whalen.
Assistant Principal Daniel Murphy offered opening remarks at the ceremony and dance teacher Diane Guida shared a photo presentation, which highlighted each dancer’s experiences during their time in the dance program.

“Laughter, tears and applause were abundant,” said Guida. “Congratulations to the dancers for their achievements and passion for dance!”
