Briarcliff's Ryan Shines on the NY Hurricanes
The Hurricanes and Briarcliff Manor's Jack Ryan went 39-6 this summer season.

The following is from the New York Hurricanes:
The 39-6 New York Hurricanes Senior National team have truly had a great season of baseball.
The Hurricanes were established in 2002 by ballplayer, scout, umpire and coach Rob Steinberg. Remarkably, Coach Steinberg has over 750 wins in his career. The teams we have put together have truly been players that listen well, and have a good skill set to act upon what's taught in practice for the game.
One of those players has been Briarcliff Manor's Jack Ryan for the Hurricanes.
"Jack is such a likable person, he listens well and acts on his gut," Steinberg said.
He has played for the Hurricanes the past two seasons and shows lots of promise to play this game most definitely into High School and with great desire, into college.
Ryan is a pure athlete, as things come easier to him then others. But he works on fielding tough balls in the center of his body and does the mechanical things correct.
"Jack is a true pleasure to teach, his mechanics have gotten smoother, his velocity has gone up substantially and his setting up of hitter's has been maticulous and his focus this year," Steinberg said.
The Hurricanes also would like to mention other Briarcliff residents like Centerfielder Will Waterhouse, Pitcher Quienten Colleen and Catcher Ben Kittay. They are all pieces of the puzzle that make for a strong team and season, also becoming top seeds at major tournaments. They are part of a great family of ballplayers, that has been going strong for over 11 years.
