Bronxville Man Accused Of Driving Drunk With Rifle In Pleasantville
The officers investigating a crash at 1:17 a.m. also found high-capacity ammunition, police alleged.
PLEASANTVILLE, NY — A driver from Bronxville who police accused of hitting two cars while trying to turn a corner faces weapons and DWI charges in Pleasantville.
Police officers heard the sounds of a car crash while following up a suspicious vehicle report on Cooley Street at 1:17 a.m. May 11. They discovered that a driver had struck two parked cars while trying to navigate the turn from Cooley Street to Bedford Road, police said.
Based on observation, they concluded that the driver, a resident of Bronxville, was intoxicated and placed him under arrest. Then they discovered a non-conforming rifle and high-capacity magazines in the vehicle, according to the police blotter.

The man was charged with multiple felony weapons counts, and following the administration of a breath test, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. Police did not release his name.
