Patch wants to make your life a little bit easier. Here are a few things to keep in mind today in the Briarcliff Manor and Pleasantville:
1. Comic opera Xerxes is being performed at Arc Stages in Pleasantville this evening at 8 p.m. (it's also back Sunday at 4 p.m.) if you can't make today's performance. More details are here.
2. The second annual Briarcliff Manor Public Library book sale has set its September dates. Donate your unwanted books to the sale by dropping them off at the library. More details here.
3. Tuesday's weather: scattered thunderstorms, with a high of 78. The UV index is dropping from High to Moderate, so sunblock isn't imperative.
4. The Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District is looking for community members to help identify cost savings through energy efficiencies. If that sounds like an appealing idea to you, find out how you can get involved here.
5. Pleasantville Community Synagogue's Rabbi Mark Sameth's latest blog posts answers the question, "Do Jews believe in heaven?" Check out what he has to say here.
