Jacob Burns Film Center Receives Charity Navigator 4-Star Rating for Second Consecutive Year

The ating validates JBFC'S adherence to good governance and fiduciary responsibility.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Jacob Burns Film Center (JBFC) has, for the second year in a row, received the Charity Navigator 4-Star rating for sound fiscal management practices, accountability, and transparency. Only 23% of the charities evaluated receive at least two consecutive 4-star evaluations indicating that the JBFC outperforms most other charities in America.

“We are proud and honored to receive this exceptional designation from Charity Navigator. The 4-Star rating underscores not only our commitment to fiscal responsibility but demonstrates our dedication to furthering our film and education mission,” said JBFC Executive Director Edie Demas.

Charity Navigator, established in 2002, is America’s largest independent charity evaluator. It helps guide intelligent giving by using objective, data-driven analysis using metrics that focus on governance, ethical practices, and openness.
