Pleasantville, Briarcliff Districts Consider Budgets
The Pleasantville and Briarcliff communities have a chance to weigh in on school budgets before voting on May 16.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY—The Pleasantville and Briarcliff school districts are each considering their respective 2017-18 budgets.
Statewide school district budget elections take place May 16.
Briarcliff Manor Union Free School District has been holding budget work sessions since January. Three more are scheduled for March 13, 27 and April 5. A public hearing, as well as the adoption of the budget, is scheduled for April 19, and another public hearing is set for May 8. All budget-related meetings are held at 8 p.m. in the Briarcliff Middle School Theater at 444 Pleasantville Road in Briarcliff Manor.

The Pleasantville Union Free School District budget was discussed at the Feb. 7 and 28 meetings of the Board of Education. A budget review is scheduled for March 14, followed by a work session March 21, adoption of the budget on April 18, and a public hearing on the budget on May 2. All meetings take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Pleasantville High School Library Media Center, located at 60 Romer Ave. in Pleasantville.
