Pleasantville: Resident Leaf-Blower, Lawnmower Rebates Start Saturday

Here's your chance to feel doubly good about getting rid of that gas-guzzler for a newer, more efficient, quieter model.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — The Climate Smart Task Force will hold rebate swap meets in April for village residents who turn in gas-powered leaf blowers or lawn mowers and buy the quieter, cleaner electric models.

The task force is covering the rebate program with $3,000 of a New York State grant.

The first event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be two additional drop-off days — April 23 and 30.
