Trio Nabbed At Westchester Home Depot After Stealing BMW X7 In CT
A Westchester PD bloodhound led cops to one suspect, who ran into the woods, but was then found hiding under a seat inside a Con Ed vehicle.

MOUNT PLEASANT, NY — A plan to off-load a hot car was foiled when the thieves chose the wrong jurisdiction to transact their "business," according to police.
The Westchester County Police Department says that the Real Time Crime Center was contacted by the Greenwich Police Department for help in a high-priority case involving a crew targeting high-end vehicles.
According to Greenwich police, the suspects had followed a woman in Greenwich and forcibly stole her BMW X7 while she was pumping gas into it. After gathering intelligence, police determined that the suspects were planning to meet in the Mount Pleasant Home Depot's parking lot to sell the stolen vehicle.

The three suspects tried to flee by car, but their attempt was thwarted by police. While two suspects were immediately taken into custody, a third suspect ran off into the woods near a Con Ed facility.
With help from the Greenburgh Police Department, the Elmsford Police Department and the Briarcliff Manor Police Department, a perimeter was secured.
A WCPD tracking bloodhound led police to the suspect, who was found hiding under a seat inside a Con Ed vehicle.
The three suspects face several charges in Mount Pleasant Court, including second degree criminal possession of stolen property (value greater than $50,000) and fourth degree conspiracy.
Police say the trio is believed to be behind many recent vehicle thefts across the area, and that the investigation continues.
The BMW was recovered and returned to its rightful owner in Greenwich.
"This outcome yet again showcases the power of intelligence-driven policing, interagency collaboration, and relentless teamwork," WCPD said in a social media post. "Excellent work by all!"
