Appétit Bistro In Port Chester Closing After 8 Years
The modern French cuisine restaurant in Port Chester opened in May of 2015, but now the lights in the dining room are out.

PORT CHESTER, NY — A well-known restaurant in Port Chester, Appétit Bistro, is closing its doors after 8 years in business.
The restaurant, located at 540A Willett Ave. in Port Chester, announced on social media Tuesday afternoon that they have closed their doors permanently.
"Edwin Montoya & Chef Ismael Carias wish to thank you for you patronage over the years," the owners said on Facebook. "The restaurant has closed permanently."

The "global bistro specializing in modern French cuisine" was known for its steak frites, escargot en croute, canard à l'orange, thon albacore, sole au citron, côtelettes de porc, and banana beignets with vanilla ice cream.
Restaurateurs Edwin Montoya and Chef Ismael Carias first opened their intimate 30-seat eatery in a Port Chester strip mall, in May of 2015. The charming spot quickly became a favorite among local food and wine enthusiasts, due to the in-season freshness of the menu and the quality of the ingredients used. Appétit Bistro was also known for its classic cocktails and a curated wine list.

However, there is some good news as well. The owners also wrote "Follow us in our newest venture www.losremolinosct.com coming to Port Chester soon!"
Los Remolinos, which is owned and operated by the Appétit Restaurant Group, is a Latin-inspired restaurant and bar featuring elevated fare and craft cocktails in South Norwalk, Connecticut. The menu features Columbian, Mexican, Venezuelan, and Spanish flavors.
