Today's opportunity is helping with an underwear drive for children and teens with The Sharing Shelf.
Underwear are a basic necessity, yet for many children in Westchester, it is a luxury their families struggle to provide. Over 60,000 Westchester children live in low-income homes, with 36 percent of public school children qualifying for free or reduced price lunch. For these children, new underwear are often financially out of reach.
