JFK Magnet School Principal Louis Cuglietto and Assistant Principal Judy Diaz will address members of the National Forum on Education Statistics next week at the Forum’s “Discovering Through Data” Conference, in Washington, DC. The topic of their presentation is “Using Longitudinal Data through RTI and Data Team Processes to Inform Instruction and Support Services.”
Cuglietto and Diaz were invited to share their school’s innovative Response to Intervention (RTI) processes that both support student needs and reduces the number of student referrals to the district Committee on Special Education.
The conference, which will take place from July 17 to19, is sponsored by the National Center for Educational Statistics and the US Department of Education. Its purpose is to improve the quality and use of education data and to produce best practice guides and other resources for the education community.
