32nd Annual Port Jefferson Harbor Cup Regatta Saturday

The 32nd annual Port Jefferson Harbor Cup Regatta will be held Saturday at the Port Jefferson Yacht Club.

The event, which is a a handicap (PHRF) regatta that is open to all single hull sailboats, is open to any skipper whose boat has a PHRF handicap rating.

According to the yacht club, a number of free Moorings will be available for visiting racers. First come, first served! See contact info in the NOR.

"This is a “round the buoys” race that takes place in the waters outside the Port Jefferson NY Harbor. Boats are divided into three or four divisions on the basis of size, design, PHRF and spinnaker or not. If FIVE or more boats of the same design wish to compete, a one-design division can be organized. Similarly, if FIVE or more boats from a single manufacturer wish to compete, they can be organized into a separate division," according to the club.
