Earl L. Vandermeulen High School sophomore Lucy Kwon was lauded at the Sept. 13 meeting by District Director of Music and Fine Arts Dr. Michael Caravello for sharing her beautiful work with the school community. Dr. Caravello also thanked high school art teacher Ms. Nancy Randazzo for her expertise and artistic guidance through the years.
Dr. Caravello mentioned Lucy’s dedication in honing her artistic skill, including attending intensive art workshops each Saturday morning. “Although she enjoys all artistic mediums, Lucy is most passionate about digital art. When Ms. Randazzo shared Lucy’s digital depiction of our own Port Jeff harbor, we immediately knew it was the perfect choice for this year’s calendar,” he said.
