Carl's Gone But The Building Is Still There [Empty in Port Jeff]

What was once a Carl’s Equipment at 299 Hallock Avenue in Port Jefferson promises to soon be an 8,000 square foot medical office, according to the sign out front but the property is worse for wear and has been vacant for some time now.

Recent has eased traffic that can access a business thinking of occupying the space, although it’s unclear if the property is actually available or the owner is just bidding his time. The number on the sign is for Suffolk Vascular Associates, another medical office and the property owner-one of the doctors at the practice according to someone who answered the phone at the number-hasn’t returned calls.

A Newsday real estate listing has the 1.23 acre property sold by 299 PJ Corp. back in December of 2010 for $1 million to SVA Realty Corp.
