Former Yankee Mariano Rivera To Open Long Island Car Dealership

PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — Former Yankees player Mariano Rivera will open his new Port Jefferson Station car dealership on Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and free car washes, according to a report in Newsday.

The Route 112 business, Mariano Rivera Honda will include new and used cars, as well as sport utility vehicles for sale or lease, and a service and parts department, the outlet reported.

It will open at noon.

The 52-year-old baseball Hall of Famer, who is a native of Panama, retired in 2013 after 19 years and five World Series championships, Newsday reported.

In a news release to the outlet, Rivera said he was excited to bring his business to the Port Jefferson Station community.
