- One of the topics discussed during the Port Jefferson Station/Terryville Civic Association meeting at the Comsewogue Public Library was public safety. The session was held on Tuesday, Jan. 24. - Hoyt Farm Nature Preserve is fifteen miles away from Port Jefferson. The drive would be worth it for those who want to enjoy the maple/sugaring classes on Sundays for just $5 per person! This unique event teaches native American techniques to obtain the maple and how to preserve it! What is good about this program is that it's open to all, which means that non-Smithtown residents are welcome to participate. Classes will be hosted on Feb. 19, Feb. 26, and March 5. I recommend you register before attending. (TBR News Media)
