Port Jeff Station Lawyer in Center of Celeb Divorce Storm

Christie Brinkley breaks down over issues with her ex-husband on Today Show.

A Port Jefferson Station lawyer is at the center of a celebrity divorce dust up. James R. Winkler who represents Peter Cook, and the ex-husband of Uptown Girl Christie Brinkley, has told Newsday that his client hasn’t broken a no-contact agreement in their divorce.

The 58-year old Bridgehampton beauty tearfully told Today show host Matt Lauer that she just wants peace in her life.

"And every time I have any joy or any kind of success in anything he has to try to destroy it,” Brinkley is quoted as saying. “And the courts need to learn how to deal with this kind of situation."
