- Port Jefferson Mayor Margot Garant had a board meeting on July 18 to discuss the action plan to save the Port Jefferson Country Club from the effects of the bluff erosion. The club is at high fall risk, and the mayor presented possible action plans during the meeting, discussing the costs of each project. (TBR News Media)
- A mother from Kings Park had a lovely surprise while partying with friends in her backyard. The U.S. Marine, Joseph A. Hobbins, surprised his mother with an earlier homecoming after over two years away from home. (Patch)
- Kihee Kim, 94, was pronounced dead at the John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson after being found unresponsive in a pool in Mount Sinai. The incident happened on Tuesday night on Kingston Road. (Port Jefferson Patch)
