- The Port Jefferson Documentary Spring Series will have its next session on Monday, April 11 with a screening of “The Automat.” The event will start at 7 p.m. at Theatre Tree located at 412 Main St., Port Jefferson. Tickets are $10 per person at the door. (tbrnewsmedia)
- Port Jefferson Free Library has Teen Community Service Opportunities. Teenagers in the community are invited to help to make CS Seed Bombs on March 29 from 4-5 p.m. The mini seed bombs will be stored and used for the spring season. (PJFL)
- Head of the Harbor Mayor Douglas Dahlgard is creating a plan of action to weed Stony Brook Harbor. Phragmites australis is a fast-growing reed producing dense stands around Stony Brook Harbor. "This is an invasive species which has taken over the viewshed, which is an asset of the village," Dahlgard said. - Nearby News: A mother was arrested while driving intoxicated with an infant son in the car. On March 19, police stopped driver Maria Carballo, 29, of Patchogue, who was driving intoxicated on North Ocean Avenue with her ten-month-old son in the back seat. The baby was handed to his father who later arrived at the scene and Carballo was taken into custody. (Smithtown Matters)
