  1. Lauren Pazienza turned herself in on March 22. Pazienza is a Ward Melville High school graduate and a Port Jefferson resident who has been charged for the death of the singing coach, Barbara Gustern. Pazienza is due back in court on March 25. (tbrnewsmedia)
  2. Port Jefferson Earl L. Vandermeulen High School's production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" can be considered a success. Students and staff worked around the clock to bring the classic characters to life on the stage from March 19-20.   5. Last month, Terryville Road Elementary School in Port Jefferson celebrated National Random Acts of Kindness Day. Led by the school social worker, Tiffany Liebling, students practiced kindness by participating in Kindness Bingo. Boys and girls could check off a box on their board by paying a student from a different class a compliment or making someone smile.

Manuel spoke about The Jazz Loft’s Young at Heart daytime concert series, which is aimed at seniors, those suffering from memory loss, and their caretakers.
